Each of Victoria's 79 councils provides a range of services and acts as a central point of reference to fulfill the responsibilities allocated to local government and to meet the needs of its residents.

 

The MAV has compiled information and links on Local Government in Victoria. Individual council websites, in particular, provide information on the types of services provided, specific programs being run, community events being held and other useful information that might be sought by residents and businesses in each municipality.
