About the framework
Introduction
The Integrated Fire Management Planning Framework for Victoria has been approved by the Premier of Victoria and implementation of Integrated Fire Management Planning has commenced.
The State Fire Management Planning Support Team has been created providing a Fire Planning Network Manager assigned to each region within the Fairer Victoria Initiative to support implementation.
Implementation of the IFMP Framework has commenced with the establishment of the State Fire Management Planning Committee which will provide direction for the roll out.
The establishment of regional strategic fire management planning committees will follow in a manner ensuring participants are engaged, supported and above all have ownership of the process for their region. The roll out will then lead in time to establish municipal fire management planning committees.
