The inaugural 2012 National Local Government Forestry Management Conference will be the must-attend conference for local government and timber industry professionals.
The conference is presented by the National Timber Councils Association, the national peak body for local government with timber interests, in association with the Municipal Association of Victoria.
With a focus on socio-economic issues and the relationship between local government and timber industry, the unique program is the first time these issues have been brought together for a conference.
The conference will provide challenging keynote presentations, highly participative discussions, engaging thought provokers, and the opportunity to learn from and share experiences with others across Australia.
Over 200 delegates are expected to attend including, local government CEOs, councillors, infrastructure managers, planners, environmental professionals, timber industry representatives, associated government officials and private sector representatives from across the country.
The conference will also provide one-of-kind opportunities for sponsors and exhibitors to showcase their capabilities in product and service provision and engage with senior decision makers within local government infrastructure and asset management.
A dinner will also take place on Thursday 26 April at the Windsor Hotel.
