Making sense and promoting opportunities for local government

This free forum is hosted by the Municipal Association of Victoria, Office for Disability and the Victorian local government Disability Planners Network

Attend this forum and come away with:

  • an understanding of the opportunities and implications of the national disability strategy and related initiatives such as,
    • disability access to premises - buildings standards
    • national disability insurance scheme
  • briefing on the MAV disability access and inclusion strategic framework
  • a chance to learn from other councils about approaches to becoming truly inclusive and accessible communities
  • information on opportunities for employment and civic participation in 2011-2012

There will be time for questions and answers and to discuss relevant issues in groups.
