Policy and Role of Local Government in Emergency Management Workshop

The MAV is developing a definition of the role of local government in emergency management.

As part of the Improving Emergency Management in Local Government Program Policy and Role Project the MAV is aiming to develop a definition of the role of local government in emergency management that can be used to support advocacy for legislative and funding changes. The MAV will be running six consultative workshops across the state where the local government sector can inform this process.

Councillors, council CEOs, directors and officers who have appropriate interest and skills across the emergency management spectrum, from planning to recovery, are invited to attend and contribute.
