​Participants are introduced to techniques for producing more readable content; reducing the length of content; making it easier for people to find information; improving the layout of content for scan-reading; and making content accessible.

The workshop is exercise based and includes a comprehensive set of notes.

It is suitable for council staff involved in writing, editing or managing content for the web. It focuses on writing. It does not cover other areas such as information architecture, visual design, mark-up and CSS, scripting, analytics or content management systems.
