MAV age-friendly communities and local government national conference

A commitment to change

Population ageing presents great opportunities, it challenges our thinking about communities and how we plan and design to create age-friendly environments and how we create welcoming, accessible and inclusive public places, parks, libraries, shopping centres, services and facilities.

This conference will explore how councils can develop a vision and an all of council response to creating age-friendly communities and provide the leadership and commitment to working with older people to meet the exciting challenges of an ageing community in the 21st century.

Who should attend

This conference is suitable for Councillors, Directors, Strategic planners, Urban designers, Health planners, Transport planners, Asset managers, Community services managers, Aged and disability services managers and officers.
