The course was designed to demystify collaborative procurement, clarify many of the issues and myths that exist, and provide a structured approach to managing collaborative opportunity identification and competing council requirements.

MAV Procurement & Contract Management Excellence Series 2019

Update your local government procurement skills and knowledge with MAV’s Procurement & Contract Management Excellence Series 2019. This training series has been designed specifically for local government staff with contract management and procurement functions. Our program is targeted at both introductory and more advanced competency levels so this series will provide you with the most up-to-date knowledge and understanding of procurement within the local government sector.

The Contract Management Excellence Series sees the introduction of three new courses. These courses have been developed and added due to sector demand and will provide local government procurement staff with relevant up-to-date training in line with what is currently being asked of procurement teams across Victoria. These courses are:

  • Social Procurement
  • Collaborative Procurement
  • Introduction to Category Strategies.

These new courses are being offered alongside our popular courses:

  • Specification to Evaluation
  • AS4000
  • Contract Management.

Course Description

The course is designed to demystify collaborative procurement, clarify many of the issues and myths that exist, and provide a structured approach to managing collaborative opportunity identification and competing council requirements.

At the end of this course attendees will be able to participate in, or coordinate collaborative procurement activities. More advanced staff will be able to review spend opportunities and identify and priorities these opportunities. Attendees work through several activities to embed the learning
