The MAV Technology Local Government Forum “The Award Winners” showcased the award-winning digital innovation achievements of local government teams.

Event Description

The MAV Technology “The Award Winners” forum will be held on Friday August 2018 at The Substation in Newport. The day-long program will showcase the award-winning digital innovation achievements of local government teams from Hobsons Bay City Council, Melbourne City Council, Wyndham City Council, Southern Grampian Shire Council, East Gippsland Shire Council, Manningham City Council, Wellington Shire Council, the MAV and Sunshine Coast Council.

The project teams will present details of projects that won awards in the categories of Smart Cities, Strategy & Planning, Collaboration & Partnerships and Customer Experience. The projects include High Impact Parking Sensor Data, Built Environment Sustainability Scorecard, Community IoT Network, Drone program for planning & asset management, Creative Technology Hub, Customer Centric Infringement Review, Citizen Connect Contact Centre, Online view, payments and lodgement, Street Register, Educloud – Education Cloud Project and 3D Geo-spatial modeling for Smart Cities.

In a first for MAV Technology, the forum has been selected to be a launch event for the Victorian Government’s Digital Innovation Festival! The forum will be included in the DIF program, promoting and opening the forum to a wider audience of entrepreneurs, innovators, changemakers, thought leaders and rule breakers. The DIF fosters economic resilience for Victoria and champions the leaders of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Who should attend
The forum is free thanks to MAV Technology, the Digital Innovation Festival, Thomas Duryea Logicalis and ATI Australia. It is recommended for Councillors, CEOs, Corporate Services Directors, business transformation leaders, customer experience teams; and of course, Information Management, GIS and ICT leaders. As part of the DIF, the forum will also be open to the general public and members of the Victorian Government.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Reserve your places now!
