​We work with councils to encourage and assist them to undertake climate change adaption actions and planning.

Climate change adaptation is a relatively new area of focus for councils and its progress across the sector varies.

In conjunction with the Department of Sustainability and Environment we’re working to better understand the level of action across the sector including barriers to, and needs and opportunities for, councils pursuing adaption planning.

Other projects we’re involved with include the Victorian Government’s Future Coasts Program, which will give councils and other land managers greater information about sea level rise.
