    The Municipal Association of Victoria is the peak representative and lobbying body for Victoria's local councils. We were formed in 1879 and the Municipal Association Act 1907 appointed the MAV the official voice of local government in Victoria.

    Today, we are a driving and influential force behind a strong and strategically positioned local government sector. Our role is to represent and advocate the interests of local government, lobby for a 'fairer deal' for councils, raise the sector's profile, ensure its long-term security and provide policy advice, strategic advice, capacity building programs and insurance services to local government.

Information Technology Officer

Are you ready to take the next step in your Information Technology career?  We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Technology (IT) Officer to join our IT team.

As an IT Officer, you will be the first point of contact for all internal IT queries and service requests. You will provide first and second level support for various IT systems and devices, maintain the ICT asset register, and support desktop and specialist applications. In addition, you will diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft Teams and SharePoint by providing on-site and remote assistance to end-users. This position will also be required to provide audio visual support for on-site meetings.

With support from the Manager, Information Technology, you will manage Microsoft Teams settings, design SharePoint sites, ensure data integrity and security in accordance with set procedures and provide insights for performance optimisation.

Governance Officer / Secretariat

Do you thrive on providing exceptional governance administration and support to your team and organisation? We're looking for a Governance Officer / Secretariat who is seeking to expand their governance administration and secretariat expertise, whilst supporting the success of the MAV's Legal and Governance Unit.

The Governance Officer/Secretariat provides a wide range of corporate governance and secretariat support to the MAV and its Boards, ensuring compliance with the MAV’s policies, processes and systems. The position will assist the MAV’s Executive Assistants in the provision of governance administration, Board secretariat duties and delivery of events.

This position is pivotal to the success of the Legal & Governance Unit, the CEOs Office and the broader administration of the MAV. It will support the Legal and Governance Unit to achieve its goals by sharing information, communicating clear information to other team members, involving team members in decisions, and demonstrating commitment to the team.
