Councillor Reset Program

The Councillor Reset Program supports elected members to strengthen their leadership practice, build trust, and approach their role with renewed clarity, capability and confidence.

Designed for councillors returning to duties following a period of leave or challenge, the program focuses on constructive re-engagement, relationship building and effective participation in the governing body.

Grounded in contemporary leadership principles, the program offers a positive, forward-looking development experience centred on personal insight, ethical public leadership and constructive collaboration with colleagues and officers.

The program is for councillors seeking to:

  • Re-establish strong working relationships and rebuild confidence in the chamber
  • Strengthen skills in communication, influence and decision-making
  • Enhance their contribution to an effective and respectful Council team
  • Demonstrate commitment to high-quality governance and public trust.
