AICD Course - Wodonga 2026

Councillors, executives, governance professionals and emerging leaders from across regional Victoria are invited to register their interest in one of Australia's most respected governance and leadership programs.

Hosted by Wodonga Council, the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Company Directors Course™ will be delivered face-to-face in Wodonga across five days in December 2026. The course has been recognised as Australia's premier governance education program and has supported governance development for more than 50 years.

This exclusive regional delivery has been tailored to local government and public sector participants through the inclusion of a customised local government governance module, replacing the standard corporate governance component. This ensures practical relevance for councillors, executives and governance professionals working in complex public sector environments.

Participants will develop a deeper understanding of:

  • Governance and the practice of directorship
  • Director responsibilities and the legal environment
  • Risk management and strategic leadership
  • Finance and financial performance oversight
  • Board effectiveness and decision-making

MAV hosted AICD Company Directors Course offerings for 2026 have now concluded.

MAV will continue its partnership with the AICD and expects to offer additional governance development opportunities for the local government sector in 2027.
